Ipamorelin

Ipamorelin is a synthetic pentapeptide and growth hormone secretagogue (GHS) known for its ability to stimulate the release of growth hormone (GH) from the pituitary gland. It functions by binding to the ghrelin receptor (GHS-R1a), mimicking the action of ghrelin, the natural ligand for this receptor. Unlike other GHS peptides, such as GHRP-6, Ipamorelin exhibits high selectivity for GH release without significantly affecting cortisol or prolactin levels, which minimizes the risk of unwanted side effects.

This selective GH release makes Ipamorelin a subject of interest for studies related to growth hormone deficiency, muscle mass preservation, and overall body composition. Ipamorelin’s unique property of inducing GH secretion in a controlled manner, without overstimulation, makes it a preferred option in research focusing on the regulation of growth hormone, aging, and metabolic health.
