Your First Peptide: A Beginner's Guide to Reconstitution and Storage

What You'll Need

  • Bacteriostatic water (preferred)

  • Insulin syringes

  • Alcohol wipes

  • Clean workspace and labels

Reconstitution Steps

  1. Let vials reach room temperature.

  2. Clean stoppers with alcohol and let dry.

  3. Draw bacteriostatic water.

  4. Inject slowly down the vial wall (no foaming).

  5. Roll/swirl gently—never shake.

  6. Confirm full dissolution; label with date and concentration.

Simple Math

  • 5mg + 1ml = 5mg/ml

  • 5mg + 2ml = 2.5mg/ml

  • 10mg + 2ml = 5mg/ml

Storage

  • Powder: -20°C (long-term), protect from light

  • Mixed: 2–8°C, use within ~30 days (with bacteriostatic water)

  • Never freeze reconstituted solutions

Bottom line: Go slow, stay sterile, store cold.
